7/27/2016 Thought this might be a worthwhile project for Pi.
A friend of mine has a sensor on his sidewalk so when someone approaches his door, a big dog starts barking inside the house. Am sure this would be a piece of pie for the Raspberry. 
From a security standpoint, it could be activated only when you are away.....or while you are there. (submitted by David)
